London Cooking Project 1 Ethelburga Street London
AFRICAN AFTERNOON TEA returns this summer.
Join us as we toast with teas and hibiscus cocktails, while savouring African inspired delights all inspired by Afternoon Tea!
I dreamt up this feast because I absolutely love the decadence of Afternoon Tea but not the boring cucumber sandwiches, and after the first one a few years ago I have missed hosting this special event and many of you have requested it, and so here we are!
The menu is filled with wonderful seasonal produce, African superfoods, exotic fruits, vegetables, edible botanics and chocolate.
With vegans and vegetarians in the family, the menu is a feast for all. I look forward to sharing this adventure with you all and creating new traditions through our shared love for great food.
Do book your tickets soon as limited spaces are available. You can also book as a group and for special celebrations. If this is sold out and you will like to be on the waiting list for the next event you can SUBSCRIBE here.
See you at the table.

Moreish treat with decadent chocolate spiced with grains of paradise, a West African Native spice also known in the middle ages as the pepper of kings
Mango Créme with Spiced Chin Chin Crumbs (v, vg, gf on request)*
‘Chin chin’, a popular West African sweet cookie dough and mangoes inspired by my ‘mango & moringa fool’ recipe from a wonderful experience I had with women selling mangoes under a bush of mango trees in Kodo Village, in Northern Nigeria.
Zobo English Tea
My special blend of hibiscus flowers, lemon peel, lemongrass and organic English roses. This reminds me of rose champagne with a citrus zing, light enough to drink all day.
Satenwa Malawi Antlers
Premium white tea from East Africa named after its distinctive features. Unlike most teas, the brew is derived from the dried shoots and not the tea leaves. A wonderful crisp, sweet, fruity yet floral tea served by the likes of Claridges.
*vegan & gluten free available on request*
You can also book a private African Afternoon Tea for a special treat!
We cater for most allergies and dietary requirements. Please let us know your requirements on the booking form.
Cocktails and teas will be served but you can also bring your own drinks. The events are BYOB, unless otherwise stated. Please feel free to bring your favourite drink.
