Feminist icon and author Germaine Greer has said she predicts that Meghan Markle will “bolt” from her marriage to Prince Harry because she will become bored.
In an astonishing interview with 60 minutes ahead of the royal wedding the 79-year-old said she thinks Meghan had already sacrificed too much of herself – including her career and homeland.
Greer also suggested that the novelty of being in the royal family will soon wear off and added: “She will see vistas of boredom that are unbelievable.”
In the interview Greer said: “I think the pressure to escape from the firm is crushing.”

“I hope in a way she’ll bolt but maybe she’ll take Harry with her.”

Meghan has had to give up a big part of herself to join the Royal Family.
Not only has she had to stop working as an actress but the 36-year-old also has to give up her US citizenship.

But when Greer was asked as to why she thinks Meghan would do that she added: “Why would a girl born in poverty marry a man with 53 million quid? I can’t think of a single reason.”
In the interview Greer also suggested one of the hardest parts about the marriage would be “putting up with him”.
